Pruning is the selective removal of branches to reach a desired goal. In some cases this can be removing branches to get clearance on your driveway, removing branches so leaves don't fall into your gutter, or just improving the look of your yard. With correct pruning your tree will have a lesser risk of failure, more wind resistance, and an increased lifespan.
